Good Wednesday morning. In reviewing this past week's Georgina Real Estate market activity in our humble town, I am starting to see a bit of change. I did hear that the Bank of Canada increased interest rates, however, as they have been so extremely low, at this point, this should not affect borrowers to strongly. The media, well, that's a different animal all together. The posting of doom and gloom is ridiculous...I guess negativity is better news than anything positive.

Good Wednesday afternoon. While I sit here, under an umbrella, enjoying a lovely summer day, I get to review this pass week's Georgina Real Estate's market activity in our humble town. The weekend brought lots of fireworks and fun family activity as we celebrate Canada's 150th birthday...although I am certain most of our natives (myself included) will say that we are much older than 150 years...regardless, I am proud to be a part of it, and proud to be Canadian.

It is good to see that there are a few, slight, positive changes starting to happen in the market that have been noted from last week's activity.
Keswick - this week, we are seeing properties being on the market basically 10 days longer with the weekly sales quantities declining even more over previous weeks. There were only 4 sales in Keswick this past week, however, 2 of which were actually over asking (one is questionable, lol). The new listings that have come out this week is similar to last week's quantity and again, less than previous weeks.
Saturday, June 17th, 1-3pm, we will host a public open house of 50 Verona Crescent. You will be impressed with the area, the neighborhood and the property. Excellent size for a family and the yard is awesome with a large entertainment deck and above ground pool. Good afternoon everyone. I have been Market Watching and tracking the activity in Georgina since the turn-of-events with our Government interference on real estate. Although, I think that most that has happened really has to do with the enormous number a listing that have flooded our market and not our Government poking their noses where they have no business. Georgina is made up of several small towns and their individual activity is very different and as a local gal, it is only right to try and get the research right.

Effective January 1st, 2017, Ontario has doubled the land transfer tax rebate for first-time home buyers from $2,000 to $4,000. That means that a first-time home buyer will pay no provincial tax on homes sold for $368,000 or less.
