Qualifying for a mortgage is about to get harder for anyone who doesn’t have at least a 20 per cent down payment for a home, which is likely to have an outsized effect on first-time buyers.
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is tightening its rules to qualify for an insured mortgage.

2020 will be Georgina's year of action.  Big news items from 2019 will continue.  Such as:

Airbnb's have been a hot topic from all sides.  The Town of Georgina has approved STRA's through a new licensing program.  At this point, the Town will only grant 150 licenses and has imposed a 100-metre buffer between each registered STRA.  There will be a Renter's Code of Conduct and demerit point system against STRAs for bylaw infractions....and what about the illegal ones????
