November 5, 2019 – Toronto Real Estate Board President Michael Collins announced that Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® reported 8,491 residential sales through TREB’s MLS® System in October 2019. This result represented a 14 per cent increase compared to 7,448 sales reported in October 2018. Open House - Sunday February 10 1-3pm

48 Douglas Street, Sutton. Come join us for a tour of this comfy family home that needs to be seen to be appreciated.  It is at the end of a dead end street, moreover, it is also located in a section of the street that only has 4 houses on it...2 on the north side and 2 on the south side.  Great for kids and those wanting nature at their door.  Hope to see you there.

OPEN HOUSE - Sunday November 25 1-3pm

Join me at 48 Douglas Street, Sutton, on Sunday, November 25th 1-3pm.  You will get to see the peace and tranquility of this home.  At the end of the street, plenty of trees on a very large lot.  A ROYAL custom home, built in 1989.  Great extra space for the in-laws or extended family.  Large 2 car garage and is currently divided for a heated workshop.  5 minute walk the the beach and lake...a real beach...and hiking/biking trails that, as a homeowner, you have access to that the general public would need to pay for.  Joie a vie!

Mortgage rule changes for Self-Employed Canadians

Well, I say, it's about time.  So many self-employed Canadians get raked over the coals to prove themselves worthy just to buy a home to live in.  The powers that be must have finally taken notice that we self-employed make up a very decent % of the population who contribute to the growth of this country and deserve to be treated a bit more fairly when it comes to getting financial backing to purchase a home.

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is to give lenders more guidance and flexibility to help self-employed homeowners.

Is The Market Revealing Itself?

Waiting and wondering have been the game over the past several months, when we talk about the real estate market. During my open house this weekend, one of many around town, I did not have to wait. It was a very active open house. The most active that I have seen since Spring 2017, the time marked as ‘insanely crazy’ by most of us.

Market news: Open House Sunday, October 22nd

Come and view 2980 Old Homestead Road during our open house this coming Sunday between 1-3pm.  The leaves are changing, fall colours are everywhere at this place.  The market news is that buyers are feeling the confidence again. The perfect home for a large family, an extended family or a new family starting out.  Space, inside and out...lots a parking, quiet, peaceful and yet, only minutes to the 404 highway.  The best of both worlds.

Georgina Real Estate This Week...

Good sunny afternoon,

It has been a slow pace crawl from the craziness of the first 4.5 months of 2017.  It is quite interesting to watch the activity from a week to week basis, and it does reveal the little changes that are not so noticeable when we review things on a monthly basis.

Georgina Real Estate This Week...

Good Wednesday morning.  In reviewing this past week's Georgina Real Estate market activity in our humble town, I am starting to see a bit of change.  I did hear that the Bank of Canada increased interest rates, however, as they have been so extremely low, at this point, this should not affect borrowers to strongly. The media, well, that's a different animal all together.  The posting of doom and gloom is ridiculous...I guess negativity is better news than anything positive.
