Standing at a heigt of 1,815 ft and 5 inches the CN Tower is the tallest
freestanding structure in the world. There are several observation levels
with glass floors, a revolving restaurant and the world's highest public
observation gallery.

The SKYDOME is the home of the Blue Jays baseball team and was the world's
first stadium with a fully retractable roof. One way to see the huge
52,000-seat stadium is to buy tickets for a Blue Jays game or an eventsuch

HARBOURFRONT CENTRE.

Stretching from just west of York Street to Spadina Avenue, the Harbourfront
Centre is a culture-and-recreation center. There's the eight-story Queen's
Quay Terminal, with specialty shops and eateries; art exhibits at the
Power Plant; theater and readings at the York Quay Center; nautical
exhibits at The Pier museum, antiques at the Harborfront Antiques Market,
and seasonal events.

To get here, take the Yonge St. subway from downtown to Eglinton station

The BATA SHOE MUSEUM is a collection of 10,000 varieties of foot coverings.
It Highlights the changing fashions through the ages as well as the
craft and sociology of shoe making. Some items date back more than 4,000

The ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO (known as AGO) is among North America's top
10 art museums. It has the largest public collection of Henry Moore
sculpture in the world, major works by Canadian artists, and works by
Rembrandt, Hals, Van Dyck, Hogarth, Reynolds, Chardin, Renoir, Degas,
Rodin, Matisse, Picasso, de Kooning, Rothko and Oldenburg, amongst others.
Also visit the Anne Tannenbaum Gallery School on Sunday when
you can explore painting, printmaking, and sculpting. Additionally,
you could visit "The Grange" which is an adjoining
Georgian-style house built in 1817-18.

The Eaton Centre is a 3-million-square-ft building extending along the
west side of Yonge Street, from Queen Street up to Dundas Street. For
the weary there are convenient subway stops at either end!

The ST LAWRENCE MARKET is predominantly a food market in a vast building
constructed around the façade of the second city hall, which
was built in 1850. Stall holders sell an abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables,
meat, fish and dairy products as well as a variety of other food and
non-food products. The Farmers market starts early on Saturday morning,
so get there early!!
KENSINGTON MARKET

OPens around 5am. It's a cacophany of Italian, Caribbean, Portuguese
and many other accents as merchants spread out their wares -- squid
and crabs in pails, chickens, pigeons, bread, cheese, apples, pears,
peppers, ginger, and mangoes from the West Indies, salted fish from
Portuguese dories, lace, fabrics, and other colorful remnants.
