Open Houses are Lonely

At least, that's how I felt this past weekend, during my 2 hour OPEN HOUSE. I was joined only by a friendly neighbor who wanted to check out the different models in his area.  It seems that this past month, open houses have become ineffective at drawing a crowd...even when the property is a well-priced, well-appointed...move-right-in home.  So, what's up with that?  Anyone care to elaborate?

I would love to hear from the public, what their thoughts are of open houses.  I know that different areas will atrack more people..the busier, town core areas, and not so much in the rural areas. However, my experience throughout 2010 has been fairly successful with open house traffic, until lately, that is.

So, if you're reading this, have an opinion, please post it hear, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Hi Opel,

A property listed in Kijiji.ca pointed me to your Website.  I'm replying because your request/question above is very sincere.

I'm not a Realtor but the answer to your question is 'trend analysis'.  Unfortunately, most Realtors do not understand this as many become Realtors because they've failed in everything else.

Regards,
